The Virtual Auscultation Simulator iPax Has Been Granted a Patent
仮想空間聴診シミュレータiPaxが特許を取得しました。
The virtual auscultation simulator iPax is a system designed for learning and evaluating auscultation skills. By accessing the iPax website via a computer or smartphone, a virtual patient (chest illustration) appears on the screen. When users tap on auscultation points, the chest piece icon moves to that area, and the corresponding heart or lung sounds are played.
The auscultation sounds provided by our company have long been recognized by medical professionals both in Japan and internationally for their realistic, patient-like quality. These sounds are mapped across multiple locations within a cloud-based system, allowing for seamless transitions in sound as the chest piece moves—just like auscultating a real patient.
Additionally, the areas auscultated are recorded and displayed as a heatmap, enabling users to review their performance afterward.
